James A. Thornton Jr. – President/CEO

James drives the D.A.R.C. Process and his 360-vision, ability to pull together teams and synthesize project data, pushes D.A.R.C. Studios into a leading provider of bundled AEC services. James leads the Studio’s inter-disciplinary approach to deliver to clients value-added intelligence that results in cost-containment, optimal project sequencing, early build completion, contingency management, and long sustainable project aftermaths.

 

Danielle White – Manager of Construction Operations

Danielle brings 360-insight and oversight to client-project operations with over a decade of experience in project management, project engineering, field inspection, job cost management and project close-out. Danielle efficiently manages multi-project documentation flow, including bids, compliance, change-orders, project acceptance, schedules, project controls, and document requests, so clients always know where a project’s milestones are.

 

Michelle Hector – Manager of Marketing

Michelle’s comprehensive construction administration and project management experience on nationally-branded hospitality, shopping center and retail, and institutional jobs establishes D.A.R.C. Studio’s capacity to supervise a client’s multiple simultaneous projects. Michelle’s cultivation of numerous consulting relationships supports D.A.R.C. Studio’s ability to mediate conflicts in real-time and reconcile challenges with true solutions, assuring clients of smooth and harmonious operations.

Parren James

Parren’s decades of experience in development, acquisitions, dispositions, & investment management are now available to D.A.R.C Studios’ clients for evaluating their current and future projects. Parren’s focus is core to opportunistic equity investments in office, industrial, retail, & multi-family properties across the U.S. Parren provides complex financial models for real estate analysis, start-ups, and non profits. ARCHITECTURE

Arthur Clark

A native Oaklander and a former Oakland City Planning Commissioner, Arthur is a registered California Architect with his own firm that specializes in residential and light commercial projects and community planning. Recently the project manager of the 2014-adopted West Oakland Specific Plan (for JRDV Architects), Art lead the Neighborhoods Working Group of the General Plan Congress during its development of the Land Use and Transportation Element Update of the General Plan. Art served as Vice-Chair of the Central City East Project Area Committee, and is on the Board of Directors of Praise Fellowship Ministries, Inc, of Oakland.

Darius Hinton – General Construction and Estimating Services

All Green Construction’s Principal Darius Hinton believes that ethical practices and a focus on quality are the most important aspects of any successful construction service. He has spent over 15 years in the construction industry, working with both hands-on and management roles. Darius brings a unique perspective to construction, and his strong communication skills allow him to move projects along on budget and schedule. Even before founding All Green Construction in 2012, Hinton had a long history of consistently delivering results that surpassed his clients’ expectations. Darius holds LEED certification, LEAN certification, and can look after LEED commissioning. Both the LEAN and LEED certifications have helped Hinton to add value to the construction process while reducing waste and adding to each project’s long-term sustainability. 

 

Saji O. Muanza – Construction Management Services

Mr. Muanza has over 30 years of experience in planning, architectural design, structural and environmental engineering as well as a proven expertise to offer D.A.R.C. clients in design, project and construction management of public and private sector projects. As a Peralta College (PCCD) consultant project/construction manager, Saji interfaced with end users, PCCD’S consultants, contractors and to review, evaluate and provide responses and guidance related to submittals, architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical and landscaping plans and specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders and resolving day-to-day construction issues for improvement and seismic retrofit of numerous buildings part of a 450 million dollar capital improvement project encompassing 4 colleges’ campuses in Alameda County, California. Mr. Muanza has been retained by a respected insurance company to perform hundreds of investigations often involving facility condition studies and building evaluation studies following natural disaster, fire or damage claims by customers. This forensic work has frequently led to the development of remedial or repair work programs and projects.

John Nyamuzuwe – Manager of Accounting

John’s expertise across the spectrum of bookkeeping and accounting keeps financial elements of clients’ projects transparent and updated for real-time clarity, with particular emphasis on month end closings, general ledger account reconciliations, and audits. John provides these and other skill-sets to local non-profits and foundations.

 

Marcin Plummer – Manager of Technology

Marcin develops D.A.R.C. Studio’s technology infrastructure drawing on his IT background with internal and external-facing client support, document validation, design escalation, viability testing and technical troubleshooting. Marcin supports D.A.R.C. Studio clients in evaluating customer service as a product.

 

Wesley Alexander – Manager of Business Development

Wesley’s experience working for and advising Fortune 60 enterprises as well as start-ups, non-profits, and small businesses, powers  D.A.R.C. Studios  engagement with clients across design and business initiatives, strategic, legal and value analysis, capital management, project requirements, and managing communications and expectations with internal and external stakeholders. Wesley guides big-picture thinking with granular attention to detail to support project-completion that exceeds expectations.
